Walks in the Park is a summary of the author’s observations, research and interpretation into the geology, geomorphology and palaeohistory of Fish Creek Provincial Park’s physical development which he has outlined in the form of a self-guided walking tour within the Calgary Park to enable walkers and other interested parties to understand the geological features of the Park as seen today. Photographic evidence is presented showing not only the different landscape features present in both the Fish Creek and Bow River Valleys, but also the bedrock and glacial deposits outcropping throughout the Calgary Park. Finally, archaeological data relevant to the Park’s physical development is included and discussed. Beautifully illustrated (colour & b&w) with photographs, maps, charts, tables and a pocket which contains two removable individual maps that can be taken along on walks in the park!
